Once a beloved home base for general aviation in Fuquay-Varina, Triple W Airport (5W5) has long served as a quiet workhorse for Wake County pilots. With its paved runway, laid-back airspace, and welcoming community, it was the go-to spot for weekend flyers, student pilots, and aircraft owners looking for an easy alternative to congested metro fields. Our goal is to bring the airport back to its former glory and beyond.
Now, under new stewardship and a new name, we’re writing the next chapter in this airfield’s story. We’re starting by improving infrastructure, expanding the runway, and turning the field into a vibrant hub for general aviation, training, and community engagement.
